Automakers are celebrating 15 years of Gran Turismo and there are many who are now focusing on designs that in some way celebrate the history of GT in an innovative way. Chevrolet is the latest of all that has decided to unveil something that is very Gran Turismo, but at the same time it reflects the future of GT.
The automaker decided to unveil the 2015 Chevrolet Chaparral 2X VGT Concept that was debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
While the name certainly sounds fresh, but Chaparral has around four decades of history and was founded by Jim Hall. For many others, the new concept vehicle is the most futuristic Vision Gran Turismo and a great tribute to the legendary racing brand that has been known for its innovation in the GT history.
Chevrolet also mentioned that the new concept vehicle will also be available for download on Gran Turismo 6 for the PlayStation 3 this holiday season. The car is very unique in its ways because the driver has to lay down belly first with arms spread apart outwards and that almost looks like flying at the speed of 240 mph just inches away from the ground.
