The new Nissan LEAF is definitely an improvement over the past few models. The new 2013 Nissan LEAF is powered by an 80 kW electric motor that generates 107 horsepower and 187 lb feet of torque which comes from 24kWh battery pack. The hatchback manages to offers acceleration of zero to 60 mph in 10.2 seconds. The car also offers better safety features like ABS, traction control, stability control, front side airbags and side curtain airbags. The car scores five star ratings in government crash testing. The battery pack that sits under the seats does not cut the interior space and offer better control to the driver and the passengers.
