Volkswagen Golf certainly remains among the most popular hatchbacks that have hit the market in recent times. However, automakers are quite aware of the drawbacks that they saw in the previous versions and therefore they are quick to launch an upgrade that not just makes them look good, but also appeal to the market demand.
Volkswagen recently made an announcement at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show where they announced and debuted the Golf R variant. However, the German automaker has decided to move to the next level by upgrading the same performance in a sports utility vehicle.
Volkswagen is trying to offer more options to the buyers and improve their portfolio at the same time. The all new Golf SUV will share the same platform as Golf Mk8. There will be a new badge that will be used for the new SUV and it will launched in Europe in 2018 and in America and China in 2019.
In terms of styling it will have an urban car styling and not off-roader effects. It is also expected that Volkswagen will use 4Motion AWD technology in the vehicle to offer better driving and handling experience with better suspension and shock calibration technology.
